The Ranney Investigations Process

Clarity, Compassion, and Professionalism—From Start to Finish

I know that reaching out to a private investigator is rarely easy. Whether you’re facing something personal, professional, or deeply sensitive, I want you to feel supported and understood every step of the way. That’s why I’ve designed a simple, transparent process to guide you from first contact to final results—with clarity, confidentiality, and respect.

If you have questions at any point, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to help.

What to Expect: Step by Step

Step 1: Share Your Story
To begin, you’ll fill out a secure online intake form. You’ll be able to select the type of investigation you’re interested in, describe your situation, and provide any relevant details about the person or company involved. Everything you share is kept strictly confidential.

Step 2: Personal Consultation
Once I’ve reviewed your request, I’ll contact you directly. We’ll go over the details together, talk through your goals, and make sure we’re both clear on what’s needed. I’ll explain how I work, answer your questions, and outline the best approach for your case.

Step 3: Investigation Mandate
If you decide to move forward, I’ll send you a simple, digital service agreement (called a mandate) authorizing me to begin the investigation. You’ll be able to review and sign it electronically, from wherever you feel most comfortable.

Step 4: Secure Payment
After the mandate is signed, I’ll provide you with a clear invoice outlining the cost of the investigation. Payment can be made securely online by credit or debit card. If you prefer an alternative method—like wire transfer or cheque—I’m happy to make arrangements that work for you.

Step 5: Your Results
Once the investigation is complete, you’ll receive a professionally prepared report with clear findings, relevant documentation, and my observations. If clarification is needed along the way or at the end, I’ll reach out to ensure everything is accurate, understandable, and complete.

You’ll have direct access to me throughout the process for any updates or questions. This isn’t a large agency—you won’t get lost in a system. You’ll be working with me, personally, from start to finish.
